Our older adult center and Home Delivered Meals program, situated in Flatbush/Midwood, is actively seeking to recruit a skilled Kitchen Professional. Possession of a valid Food Protection Certificate is a mandatory requirement for this role. **Primary Responsibilities:** - Develop menus, place food orders, and ensure proper food storage and inventory management. - Coordinate all stages of food preparation, meal service, and kitchen clean-up. - Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards, including monitoring food temperatures and ensuring a sanitary environment. - Conduct regular inventory checks and keep accurate records of food usage. - Attend all required training sessions and complete assigned courses promptly. **Essential Qualifications:** - Demonstrated prior experience in a professional cooking capacity. - Possess a current and valid Food Protection Certificate. - Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts. - Capable of lifting and moving heavy objects as needed. - Willingness to work early morning hours. - Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
